The theme is Social Justice. Your mission – to create a Smartphone app.

Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities. During this 3-hour program, girls will hear from organizations who have been on the front lines of addressing the systemic inequities facing the United States. Using Zoom, girls will work in pairs with mentors to create prototype smartphone apps (using the online app block programming language, APP LAB, from Code.org). Girl Scouts have got this!

Satisfies some requirements of the Girls Scouts of CT Coding for Good badges (Coding Basics badge included, to be mailed at conclusion of program).
