Hacking for Pediatric Cancer
December 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Childhood cancer happens everywhere. In 2018, an estimated 15,590 children were diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Globally, it is estimated that 300,000+ new cases of cancer affect children each year; however, this number may be vastly underestimated due to large numbers of undiagnosed cases.
Join Random Hacks of Kindness Junior and Mairead Finn, whose youngest daughter, Vivienne, died from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) (a rare tumor of the brainstem ) to create apps that address pediatric cancer. Experience first hand how you can use technology to create positive change.
